Jhomolhari Trek is one of the most popular treks and a favorable with trekkers. It is a truly amazing trek amidst the beauty of the himalayas that leaves one with an ultimate satisfaction and fulfillment.
The trek starts off from the ruins of Drugyal Dzong, follwoing a river at 2500 meters to an altitude of 4820 meters at Yalila Pass.
Jhomolhari Trek route takes you through narrow fertile valleys to wide open yak pastures, across high passes to close-in winding river valleys, through villages and old ruins of dzongs to yak herd camps, from high alpine mountains to semi-tropical forests. Catch spectacular views of the high ridges and snow -capped peaks, of crashing rivers, feeder streams and waterfalls, of the majestic grandeur of Mount Jomolhari and Tserim Kang and its glaciers. Day rest at Linghi takes you on an excursion to Tsokha, the base camp of Mount Jichu Drake.

Day 2 Trek to Shana. Overnight rest at tented camp. Distance: 18 km
Day 3 Trek to Soi-Thangthangkha. Overnight rest at tented camp.
Day 4 Trek to Jangothang. Overnight rest at tented camp. Distance: 18 km
Day 5 Day rest for acclimatization / Excursion to Tshophu Lake. Overnight rest at tented camp.
Day 6 Trek to Lingshi. Overnight rest at tented camp. Distance: 18 km
Day 7 Lingshi rest. Overnight rest at tented camp.Excursion to Tsokha. Distance: 15 km
Day 8 Trek to Shodu. Overnight rest at tented camp. Distance: 21 km
Day 9 Trek to Barshong. Overnight rest at tented camp. Distance: 14 km
Day 10 Trek to Dolam Khencho. Overnight at tented camp. Distance: 12 km
Day 11 Trek down to road and head to Thimphu. Overnight rest at hotel. Distance: 13 km
Day 12 Sightseeing at Thimpu and overnight rest at hotel
