Tourist arrival increases by 17 pc in Marc

The increasing trend in tourist arrival to Nepal continued to increase in the month of March recording a growth rate of 17.3% against the arrival figure of same period last year. According to statistical figure disseminated by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), a total of 40,032 foreign visitors came to Nepal via air in March 2008.

Canyoning demonstration in Bhotekoshi

Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) on February 2, 2008, organized 'Canyoning Demonstration and Workshop' program at Jumbo Canyons in the Bhotekoshi Valley. Documentary on Simikot-Hilsa Tourist Route released

Speaker of the Interim Legislature Mr. Subash Chandra Nembwang on January 28, 2008, released a documentary entitled 'Simikot-Hilsa Tourist Route: Gateway to Kailash and Mansarovar'. The documentary was produced by District Development Committee, Humla, to promote the Simikot-Hilsa route as the gateway to the Kailash and Mansarovar area of the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China.
